Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: After installing an RRC2040-2 battery in a Maquet Servo-n ventilator, the device displays "Battery State of Health (SOH) 85%." Does this mean the battery is degraded? Does it need to be replaced?
A1: An SOH of 85% does not indicate battery degradation and does not require immediate replacement. SOH represents the percentage of the battery's current capacity compared to its initial capacity. 85% indicates the battery still has good performance and can meet typical usage requirements (e.g., 6-8 hours of battery life).
Q2: While charging the battery, the charger indicator displays "Charging Abnormal," but charging still does not work after replacing it with another charger of the same model. What's the cause?
A2: The battery's BMS is most likely causing a "lockout protection" trigger. If the battery has previously experienced an abnormal condition such as over-discharge, high temperature, or short circuit, the BMS will automatically lock the charging function to prevent further damage to the battery cells.
Q3: Can this battery be used with a non-smart 10.8V battery in the same ventilator?
A3: Mixing is prohibited. The RRC2040-2 is a smart battery that relies on the BMS to exchange data with the device. Non-smart batteries do not have data feedback capabilities. When mixed, the device will not be able to recognize the status of the non-smart battery and will display an "incompatible battery" error, causing the ventilator to fail to start.
