Ola Electric has introduced a comprehensive battery protection program designed to address consumer concerns about battery lifespan and maintenance costs for its electric scooters.
When an Ola electric scooter battery requires replacement during the warranty period, the new battery will continue to receive coverage under the original warranty terms. Both standard and extended warranty protections remain unchanged for replacement batteries.
Standard battery warranty: 3 years or 50,000 km (whichever occurs first) from delivery date.
Extended warranty options: Multiple tiers available including 5-year/60,000 km, 8-year/80,000 km, 8-year/100,000 km, and 8-year/125,000 km coverage.
Owners receive two key documents:
The base warranty provides 3 years or 40,000 km of protection (with batteries receiving an additional 10,000 km coverage) for both batteries and vehicle components. This applies to all S1 series scooters delivered or reserved after November 14, 2024.
Coverage includes free replacement or repair of batteries and related components affected by manufacturing defects, including labor costs. Defective parts become company property after replacement.
Both standard and extended warranties automatically transfer to subsequent owners when vehicles are resold.
Owners experiencing battery issues should visit authorized service centers with their scooter and warranty certificate. Eligible repairs or replacements will be performed at no cost.
The warranty does not cover:
Available extended warranty tiers include:
Extended warranties must be purchased within 12 months of delivery and include battery replacement when health falls below 70% capacity.
